• weeks 15-20

Thanksgiving was great! I got to go to a coworkers house for it. It was pretty great. Other than work I hung out with friends or went to the parks alone. I picked up a few times at POP Century resort! That resort was Amazing to work at. I currently have a few shifts scheduled for a few other Locations in the new year. Christmas honestly felt a little lonely. but it was that way because I didn’t spend it with anyone. a few of my friends have left already but most that are leaving, leave within the next month.

Rose: I got to spend the holiday season at Walt Disney World
bud: Family is coming to visit soon
thorn: i didn’t spend the holidays with anyone

  • weeks 10-14

Sorry for the long absence! it has been a crazy month.
It started with a rolled ankle. A week later I got a concussion! that was fun. NOT! i had to spend the week and a half before my birthday being very careful at work. I just took it easy for the most part

My birthday was amazing! Two of my friends and I went to Whispering Canyon for a birthday brunch! I definitely suggest going to Whispering Canyon at Wilderness Lodge. It was an amazing experience. We asked for ketchup, and got 11 bottles for the 3 of us. After brunch we went to Magic Kingdom and then hopped over to Epcot after magic closed for the Halloween party.

The Day after my birthday was the Jonas Brothers Concert!!
I had so much fun. My friend and I’s outfits were amazing! There were times where I felt like I didn’t belong (i am a newer fan of theirs), but by the end I was screaming the lyrics to my favorite songs, laughing at my reactions, and crying for the last song. the last song they brought the entire family (frankie(the youngest brother), Denise, and Kevin Jonas Sr.) out and Denise signed the song as the rest of the family sang.

The next crazy thing that happened to me was that I met one of the people from my favorite show when I was in middle school/first two years of high school! I literally went up to a lady(it was her) and I complemented her outfit. it wasn’t until she turned around that I knew who she was! She was so sweet and it was an amazing experience. She said that it was amazing to meet me and she said that I made her day!

I made some new friends and we each make dinner for everyone. That way we all save money, and we get to hang out while we eat. I am going to be sad when most of them leave in the next few months.

I got Extended. which means I am not coming home until June 2026 at the earliest.

    Rose: I got thanksgiving off
bud: I am going to my co-workers for thanksgiving dinner
thorn: one of my friends leaves 12/11

  • week 8 and week 9

Sorry for not posting last week. I just kept myself busy. Sunday thru Wednesday was just work. Thursday I went to the parks with some friends. we went to Animal Kingdom. I left a little early because I had to get ready for a listening party that my friend was taking me to. The Life of a Showgirl listening party was amazing! My friend and I went to the movie on Friday. I cried when The Life of a Showgirl lyric video came on. I got to meet amazing Swifties! Saturday I did a lot. I went and picked up my new uniform in the morning, I then went to the parks with my roommate. after my roommate and I separated I went to Magic Kingdom and rode Pirates before heading home to wait for my friend to pick me up. Sunday was the Official release party movie again, and then straight to work for my first day of Front of House training, Monday through Wednesday was training. Thursday was shopping. Friday was work. Saturday was spending the day at epcot with multiple different friends.

rose: I got to hang out with friends
bud: Jonas Brothers is not to far away
    thorn: i rolled my ankle

  • week 7

Sunday and Monday were pretty boring(because I was not feelin well). School started on Tuesday. Tuesday I woke up at 5am for Character Auditions. after auditions I went and did some school work at a resort. After I went to a pirate dinner adventure, I loved it! Wednesday through Friday I worked and didn’t do anything special. Saturday I went shopping and then went to the parks after I finished shopping.

Rose: I loved the Pirate Dinner Adventure
Bud: I am almost Finished with my Jonas Brothers outfit
Thorn: I have been failing at trying to limit my screen time and spend less time on my phone

  • Week 6
Monday I went to Magic Kingdom with my friend to celebrate their birthday (their birthday wasn’t until Thursday). We rode a few rides, and met a few Princesses. My favorite princess we met was Belle! The Tron Overlay that is happening right now is actually pretty great. Tuesday I got off work a little earlier than normal and there was an event at the Flamingo Crossings East(we call the communities east or west). Wednesday I end up going home because I didn’t feel the best. Thursday I just took it easy, and just walked around Magic Kingdom getting photos with characters and watching shows. Country Bear Jamboree is by far my favorite show at Magic Kingdom. Friday and Saturday were uneventful. Sunday I woke up before 7 am to hopefully ride Guardians of the Galaxy before work, I sadly didn’t get the chance to. But I did get a photo with Star Lord! I went to work but ended up going home after 3 hours because I wasn’t feeling well (again!).

Rose: I got to see Belle for the first time in almost 14 years
Bud: The Life of a Showgirl releases next week!
Thorn: I am working 4 days this week( called out sick) and next week

  • Week 5

This week hasn’t been as eventful. I had Monday off, I went to Hollywood studios and the first thing I did was the Frozen Sing along (yes I yelled puddle). then I went and walked around to Galaxy’s edge to see if my roommate was working, and to fix my lightsaber(the piece that hooks into the belt clip broke on me). I then went and rode Slinky dog dash, before meeting up with my co worker for lunch and to park hop to Epcot. We walked around epcot for a bit before she decided to head home. I continued on to a Quick trip to Magic Kingdom, before leaving I stopped by my friend at the Emporium, and my friend at Columbia Harbor House. Did some pin trading, I ended up finishing a set. And then met my new roommate for Dinner. Tuesday through Sunday I didn’t really do much. I hung out with my friends after work, or just went home and slept.

I am going to start this:
Rose: I was able to help a Deaf co worker
bud: I have a character auditions and a pirate dinner coming up
thorn: i worked 6 days straight

    Quote of the week:
    “Hakuna Matata” -the lion king

  • Week 4

WOW time really does fly! started the week off with working Monday- Wednesday didn’t do anything too crazy before or after work. Thursday was Chaos. I decided it would be fun to do the 4 parks One Day challenge. My rules were as follows
ONE of each of the following
    Ride
    pin trade
    snack
something random(like a shoe or character meet n greet)

the day started wonderfully at Animal Kingdom, the day went a little haywire after that because I was supposed to go to a resort and catch the Skyliner (I was also doing all 4 modes of transportation as well as the 4 parks). I get to the resort from animal kingdom AND the Skyliner is down! I ended up going to EPCOT and deciding to take the Skyliner later in the day. While in Epcot I decided to try a milkshake that I had been told about that is here for the Food and Wine Festival, it was the weirdest thing I have had here at Disney! It was too sweet and it was more of a pickle aftertaste to a vanilla milkshake.
after I finished Epcot I went to Hollywood Studios. I ordered food at the Backlot Express and had a “I’m Celebrating” button on, and the lady that gave me my food was like “wait here” and went and got a cupcake! i ate my food I ordered and then ate some of the cupcake. I went back to Epcot(because I had to get to the monorail) vi the Skyliner! As soon as I step off it stops! again! I walked thru Epcot stopping by the Regal Eagle to see who all was working. and then finished my night off at Magic Kingdom. I watched the fireworks with my roommate, and then I rode Small World TWICE in a row! the first time I had the whole boat to my self! I also met a fellow CP who knows Sign and we walked together to Peter Pans Flight(right a crossed the walk way) and she asked me if I wanted to ride, I asked how long the wait was and she said” i wasn’t going to make you wait” so i got on thru the lightning lane. making a magical moment for me. I then went for my last ride if the night! A ride I had never been on Seven Dwarfs Mine train! and the craziest part it was a walk on at the end of the night! it is typically a 60+ minute wait during the day. Friday I did not want to go to work but I did and learned the hard way you have to have 2 days off and do the challenge on the first of the off days. Sunday I went to church and got to hang out with my friend.

new photos posted on the google photos

  • Week 3

Started the week with barbequed hot dogs with my friends. I rode Rockin’ Rollercoaster 3 times in one week. It went from the coaster I was scared of to my favorite! I earned my ears! In non-Disney terms I finished training! The Goofy Movie event was Amazing! I sat right in front of Bill Farmer, Jason Marsden, and Kevin Lima. But it was who I got the luck to sit next to that really shocked me. I sat next to the directors of the documentary “Not Just A Goof”, at the end I asked for a photo with them and for them to sign the handout we all got. (they did!) Thursday was also the start of the Food and Wine festival. To celebrate the start of the Festival Remy was out! and yes I got a photo with Remy. Friday and Saturday I didn’t really do anything but work and hang out at my apartment. Sadly Sunday was shopping for groceries. I did get the chance to hang out with a few friends in the parks after going to the store. I went to Hollywood Studios and Magic Kingdom. I love that I can go to the parks and just enjoy my time off.

  • Week 2

Most of my second week was training.  But Wednesday I went to Magic Kingdom, I watched the fireworks and the castle projections for the first time (third time watching the fireworks) and cried. Thursday thru Saturday I had training. My Favorite part of training has been talking with my castmates in the kitchen. Sunday, I spent with some friends, and we went to see K-pop Demon Hunters (we could only do Sunday because we were all off).  I signed up for a DCP event that happens on the 28th! The event is where Bill Farmer, Jason Marsden, and Kevin Lima come and talk to the College Program Participants. When I found out about it, I immediately signed up.

Photos are in the link on the Photos page (it is a google album)

Wow, time has flown. It has been a little over week since I moved in to flamingo crossings! Move in ended up taking two days, but I still got to hang out at the parks on Wednesday and Thursday. Wednesday I went to Epcot and Magic Kingdom! I got to ride cosmic rewind and Tron on Wednesday. Thursday i started at Animal Kingdom and rode Dinosaur and Expedition Everest, and got photos with Doug and Russel. I then went to Magic Kingdom and rode Space Mountain 3 times, haunted mansion twice, and had a 15 minute wait for peter pans flight! Peter Pans Flight is typically a 45+ minute wait! I also met Winnie the pooh, Tigger, Cinderella, Snow White, Tiana, and Rapunzel. Friday was traditions and a trip to cast connections, as well as going to the movies to watch Freakier Friday! Saturday was training and then I went to Epcot alone and rode cosmic rewind again. Sunday was more training and then hung out with my friends before finishing the night with church. Monday I had uniform pickup and a tour of my area. I start at my location on Thursday.
